You're a creative human - whether you paint, or you're a digital designer, collage-master or photographer. You have the talent and you've been thinking about how you might turn your current skills into money-making murals. But murals sound like a big, multi-faceted project right? Wrong. The Business of Murals workshop will take you through the step-by-step process of finding clients, taking briefs, creating mural-worthy works, getting your work onto the wall and finishing the project professionally, confidently and safely.

The Business of Murals is a two hour workshop that will provide you with the knowledge, confidence and understanding to add 'murals' to your creative business offering.

The workshop covers the mural process from client enquiry to final coating on the mural, including: • Taking a brief • Materials, tools, estimating material costs • Pricing, quoting, contracts and safety training courses • Getting your mural design up onto the wall (several different techniques) • Protecting the surface of your completed mural • Production timelines, logistics and contracting artist assistants • Finding mural work, call outs and grants • Community engagement

This workshop would suit any creative (from emerging through to established) who is looking to scale their work larger onto walls.

The workshop includes only a short 20 minute practical component. Please wear clothes you don't mind getting covered in paint.
