'I carry your heart' exhibition & workshop

'I carry your heart' opened on Friday 16 March 2018. Jugglers Art Space was taken over by a range of colourful and emotive artworks that explored a number of muses from the inside out. The collection aimed to unite people from across the globe, from different backgrounds and beliefs and offered the audience the opportunity to empathize, understand and connect. Included were a number of collaborative works with Ladies on Wall - Nur, Bunga and Dakjoah, street artists from Jakarta, Indonesia. This collection of work and collaborations was funded by Arts Queensland.

The following day I ran a two-hour stencil workshop for the public. This was a free workshop that encouraged participants to explore stencil art and spray paints. Participants ranged from 5 to 65 years old. The energy, excitement and enthusiasm was wonderful. Nur, Dakjoah and Dara from Ladies on Wall were amazing helpers. A great day with some brilliant outcomes. I have a range of workshops coming up soon in Brisbane and the Gold Coast - check here for upcoming workshops.

The collection of unsold artworks will be available for purchase from Art Lovers in April 2018.

I would like to acknowledge the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live, create and work. I would like to pay my respects to local Indigenous Elders past, present and emerging and recognise the strength, resilience and capacity of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
