Synopsis
strong: AuDHD explores the tension of living with two opposing neurological forces within one mind. The structure, routine and pattern seeking of Autism collide with the restless energy and constant search for stimulation associated with ADHD.
The divided portrait represents a brain pulled in different directions. One side seeks order, predictability and control, while the other craves novelty, movement and the next spark of interest. The layers of colour, mark making and graffiti inspired gestures reflect the noise, creativity and energy that can exist within that contradiction.
Rather than presenting these differences as weaknesses, strong: AuDHD is an exploration of the complexity and strength that can come from embracing both sides.
