It’s taken me over a year to finish this painting. It was painful to do for the first 6 months and the last 6 months – well, sometimes it’s easier to not remember, to not have to feel and to not allow yourself to grieve. I put the piece in the spare room and didn’t touch it for so long until Aric sent through this video for my birthday 3 months ago:

I cry everytime I watch this video because I miss Pierre everyday still. It’s been over a year and it hasn’t gone away, so I finished this painting so I can put it up on my wall and remember him everyday because I know he’s not going away. This is piece is not for sale but if you’re a friend of Pierres I can arrange a print for you.
